What do you see when you look at your life?

You are Nowhere. This sign was over the entrance of a convenience store in a very small town in Nebraska. Depending on your view, it could read two very different ways. If you look at the letters altogether it says, “Nowhere.” If you look at the letters painted red and separate those from the black letters it says, “Now Here.” It’s all in what your mind sees. Both words applied to our location at the time…in the middle of “nowhere” we were “now here” at this store.
In daily life we may feel that we are getting nowhere. Maybe it just hasn’t turned out the way we planned. Our hopes and dreams are fading, our plans may have gone awry, and our days seem mundane. Nowhere to go, nowhere to escape, and nowhere to rest. We need to look at life differently.
“So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.”
1 Corinthians 15:58 New Living Translation
When we remember that God is in control of our life, that our life is actually given to us to serve Him and fulfill His purpose, then we can see that we are now here on this earth to accomplish a plan that He prepared for us before we were born. Now here in His loving arms, now here living out His will, and now here with Him by our side. Life has hope when we truly see Christ’s love through His blessed words to us in Scripture.
“When I discovered your words, I devoured them. They are my joy and my heart’s delight.”
Jeremiah 15:16 New Living Translation
