A Love Song from God

I really want to write about Isaiah 43. The problem is I want to post the whole chapter in this blog post. It’s one of those chapters that reinforces my faith every time I read it. Each verse flows like a river for my soul.

“I have called you by name and you are mine.”
Isaiah 43:1

Really! I just melt.

This whole chapter gives me hope and swallows me up in God’s love.

“Since I regard you as precious, since you are honored and I love you, I therefore give people in exchange for you, and nations in return for your life.”
Isaiah 43: 4

Swoon!

Isaiah is a description of our Savior. The one and only first love. He has more than just our backs, he has the utmost love for us. He has great plans for us.

“No need to remember past events, no need to think about what was done before. Look, I am doing something new, now it emerges; can you not see it? Yes, I am making a road in the desert and rivers in wastelands. The wild animals will honor me, the jackals and the ostriches, for bestowing water in the desert and rivers in the wastelands for my people, my chosen one, to drink. The people I have shaped for myself will broadcast my praises.”
Isaiah 43:18-21

I probably got carried away typing, but the whole chapter reads like a love letter, from bridegroom to bride.

I encourage you to get into the Bible. Find your own love letter that hits your soul like a flood.

Words are powerful.

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue…”
Proverbs 18:21

What we speak and think are what we also write down. There is only life in God, he is the creator of life. There is no death or destruction in heaven. Goodness and life were the original intent when God created Eden and what He has planned for us eternally.

What are the verses that hit you powerfully in the Bible? If you don’t know, try reading and see what hits your soul.
