A New View

A New Attitude

“You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.”
Ephesians 4:22-24 New International Version

We are moving to a new house just outside of Hillsboro, Oregon and with the new house, a new view.  We look out over the crimson clover fields across the valley toward the coastal mountains.  It is a beautiful new view!

When you became a believer in Jesus Christ, you took on a new view of everything.  You got rid of the old way of thinking and put on the new way of life, a new attitude.  From death you came to life in Jesus; from hopelessness you came to a sure hope in Christ; from darkness you came to the Light of the world.  The old life, the old attitudes, the old sinful way of life had to go.  You were made new in Christ Jesus and baptized into a new way of living, a new way of thinking, a whole new view of everything.

Even in the most uncertain times, you have certainty in our Savior who died and rose for you.  In His blood poured out for you, you are made a new man, a new woman.  Your sins are washed away and you are made righteous in His name and in His holiness.

Maybe right now you are unable to change your physical view of the world though you would like to move to a new home and have a new view.  But you are given a new mind, a new attitude, a new life in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Enjoy the view!
