Have you ever heard God’s voice or received a special message you knew was specifically meant for you? In this verse it says that we, as Jesus’ sheep, can listen to His voice. He tells us that when He speaks to us, we will know His voice and follow Him.
Some people struggle to hear the voice of God or question it if they do. But it’s hard to hear God in a world full of chaos unless we purposefully set aside all those distractions and take time to listen for His voice. God will speak to us when we are open to hearing Him whenever and wherever He chooses. Then the Holy Spirit will help us to discern His voice from all others. It’s such a joy when God speaks to His children, and we listen to those powerful words meant just for us.
At Christmastime the distractions seem endless, and our joy can turn into anxiety, frustration and feeling scattered. That’s when it’s most important to take a moment and remove ourselves from the preparation for traditional Christmas celebrations and focus on the preparation of our hearts for celebrating Jesus’ birth. Listen for the special message He has for you through prayer and His words this Advent Season. Your heart will be filled with joy!
