“Lord, there is no one like you! For you are great, and your name is full of power.”
Jeremiah 10:6 New Living Translation
There’s a lot of power in this photo. The power plant generates electricity to light up thousands of homes. The locomotive is powerful enough to pull thousands of pounds of coal that provide power to the plant. Our generation harnesses solar, wind, and atomic power. Some people strive to get power using destructive means, to use it for evil. Many people want to see the power of God in action as proof He exists, or as a personal Santa Claus.
We can’t always see the power of God, just like we can’t see the electricity produced in our homes, but we know it exists because there is light. That is comforting since another power strikes fear in us, the power of death and sin. That is stronger than any earthly power we could conceive.
Thankfully, we have a God whose power transcends all others that could harm us. He set us free from eternal death by the power of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. He alone has the power to keep us close to Him in this life until we are forever by His side in heaven. By the power of the Holy Spirit, His light is always on in us. Remember His power is at work in your life!
“Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.”
Ephesians 3:20 New Living Translation
