“Yes, each of us will give a personal account to God.”
Romans 14:12 International Children’s Bible
We have a Heavenly Father who freely gives us so much. Our salvation, our faith and all our possessions are abundant blessings from Him. But there are times when we forget that everything we have is from God and take pride in ourselves by thinking it’s all ours. We forget to live generously. Not just with our possessions but with our kindness to others, ability to forgive and our time—especially our time spent with God. God gives us everything to use for His kingdom, not ours.
We will give an account of how we used what God entrusted to each of us, whether we used all we had wisely or whether we held on to all of it too tightly. We’re accountable to Him for what we keep, whether we kept our faith well and loved others by having their best interests at heart, or whether we held on to grudges and destructive thoughts.
Nothing is hidden from God. Use everything He gives you in this life for the blessing He intends it to be, loving God with all your heart, soul and strength and sharing His love with all people you encounter in your life. You are blessed by God to be a blessing!
“Nothing in all the world can be hidden from God. Everything is clear and lies open before him. And to him we must explain the way we have lived.”
