He Has Become the Cornerstone

“The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes.”
Matthew 21:42b New International Version

The Lord Jesus came to His people and they rejected Him and crucified Him, but on that cross, Jesus paid the price for our sins and won salvation for us.  And God raised Him from the dead and exalted Him and gave Him the name above every name.  And this stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone of God’s building, the body of Christ, the church.

Do you need to find a firm place to stand in your life?  Do you need solid footing for your relationship with God and with others?  Look no further than the cornerstone!  You can build your life on the Lord Jesus Christ.  He will not be shaken by disaster or disease or death or depression or despair.  You can depend on Him.

Lord Jesus, you are my Rock and my Redeemer.  I trust in You for my salvation and for all the needs of both my body and soul.  May You be the basis of all that I do or say this day and everyday.  Amen.
