“The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come.’ Let anyone who hears this say, ‘Come.’ Let anyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who desires drink freely from the water of life.”
Revelation 22:17 New Living Translation

Many small towns still have old water towers that rise above their communities. They come in a variety of shapes and sizes, but they all serve a main purpose—to provide water for their population.

Water towers use gravity to maintain consistent pressure and flow for homes, businesses, and other needs. Water pumps fill the tower when usage is low, and gravity releases the water as it’s needed.

When our mental and spiritual reserves run low, we turn to Jesus for His life-giving water. He is the water of life, the only source that will refresh our souls and give us eternal life. Unlike the water from a tower, His water is free for those who come to Him.

Yet many people spend their days living in a dry desert, trying to fill their thirst with water that won’t last. They are left parched and dried up pursuing the things of this world. We who are regenerated by Christ, the fountain of living water, should lead those who are thirsty to the living water that also flows for them. God will not turn anyone away when they seek His living water. As John says,

“Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’”
John 7:38 New Living Translation

If you find yourself drying up like a stream in winter, come to the river of water that never evaporates or runs dry. Jesus waits for you with open arms to immerse your thirsting soul with His presence.
