The Scriptures cover us through the struggles of life.

“However, continue in what you have learned and found to be true. You know who your teachers were. From infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures. They have the power to give you wisdom so that you can be saved through faith in Christ Jesus. Every Scripture passage is inspired by God. All of them are useful for teaching, pointing out errors, correcting people, and training them for a life that has God’s approval. They equip God’s servants so that they are completely prepared to do good things.”
2 Timothy 3:14-17 God’s Word to the Nations
No matter what a camera manufacturer says, moisture will always find its way into your camera. My Sony camera is weather resistant, but I know there are many places where water could find its way into the inner electrical workings and potentially ruin it.
It’s smart to protect a camera when shooting in the rain or snow. I took this picture of my Sony a77ii after I shot pictures of my house with it in a snow storm. There is nothing complicated about this protection. It’s a shower cap. All I had to do was lift the cap off the lens when I was ready to shoot, take the picture, and place the shower cap back over the lens. It worked well for such an easy remedy.
As we’re about to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, we remember Luther’s emphasis on the Scriptures. Nothing trumps the Scriptures in directing us to the heart of God. As Paul wrote to Timothy, “[The Scriptures] have the power to give us wisdom so that [we] can be saved through faith in Christ Jesus.” From beginning to end, the Bible is God’s word to us. It is this word that points us to the Word, Jesus Christ.
As such, the Bible is the covering we need to protect us from the harsh realities of living in a broken, sinful, world. It is God’s means of leading us through the difficulties, and pointing us to the One who has borne our sin and given us life.
The Bible reminds us that we are covered in God’s mercy and grace every single day.
