A Poem of Praise

But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.1 Corinthians 15:57, English Standard Version

In the morning, we rise with the light

a new dawn bringing mercies bright.

Though we walk through valleys, though our feet may fail,

Never ceasing, never ending, your love will prevail.

You’ve colored our world with creative mastery,

Woven perfectly into a glorious tapestry.

Help us to seek, to knock, to be found,

Create a clean heart that knows no bounds.

Give us the wisdom to fall to our knees,

Eyes fixed on the cross and true love that frees.

We know that your victory came with a cost,

With a mission to seek and to save the lost.

So we laud, honor, worship and praise,

Overwhelmed by this gift, grateful hands we raise.

You are our King, forever esteemed,

Help us to live as a people redeemed.
