According to the American Museum of Natural History, there are nine parts of a flower. Each part contributes to its unique function, whether flower pollination, seed and fruit production or food for bees, birds or butterflies. Depending on the type of flower, they may play a part in the process of producing fruits or vegetables or have medicinal properties.
God included a lot of details in his creation of flowers as He did with all of creation, including His children. But he didn’t stop caring about the details of our lives once we were born.
“The Lord directs the steps of the godly.
He delights in every detail of their lives.”
Psalm 37:23 New Living Translation
In our broken world, it’s easy to stop believing that God cares about the details of our lives. Yet He delights in those details and prepares exactly what you need for every situation, exactly when you need it. He is not a distant, disconnected God. He loves you and redeems every broken part of your life. He multiplies every good gift He has given you for a purpose greater than you could ever imagine.
There are over ten bible verses which express God’s delight in His children. The story of Ruth is filled with God’s detailed plans He carefully crafted for her life after the death of her husband. Look for those examples this week and ponder on the enormity of how much joy you give Him. His love never fails, and He is actively directing the details of your life.
