The freedom that God gives us is represented in many ways, one of them being doors.
Obviously, doors can be open or shut. Deciding whether to open or shut the door is the challenge
What does God say about doors?
“But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.”
Matthew 6:6
“So Jesus said to them again, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.”
John 10:7
“If you do well, will not your countenance be lifted up? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door; and its desire is for you, but you must master it.”
Genesis 4:7
“And while they were going away to make the purchase, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast; and the door was shut. “Later the other virgins also came, saying, ‘Lord, lord, open up for us.’ “But he answered, ‘Truly I say to you, I do not know you.’
Matthew 25:10-12
Doors are representative of our mind, heart, and faith. There might be a number of areas where we need to open the door, such as healing and wholeness, and close the door on sin and fear.
Doors are a pathway to good and evil. We don’t have to fear what to do with the door when we stay close to God. Satan is tricky though. His power is in suggestion. Our power is in saying no to the idea that He attempts to plant.
Stay close to God and He will direct your steps. He wants the door to be open to Him and His creative solutions, healing and wholeness.
Don’t fear if a door to sin or fear is opened, though. Just repent and draw close to God through his Spirit. He already sees everything we do and forgives us.
Trust God and the path will be clear.
