Revealed Glory!
“For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God.”
Romans 8:19 English Standard Version
When I was 16 I missed the opportunity to go to Disneyland with my family. I tried to pretend that it was no big deal but I always felt sad that I had not had the chance to experience the “Magic Kingdom”.
Many years later, a friend who worked for Disney offered to give us free passes when we stopped to visit them in Los Angeles. And at 71 years old I got to experience the wonderful world of Disney for the first time!
Life is full of sadness and missed opportunities, broken promises and unfulfilled wishes. Sin has brought disharmony and disappointment into every life. Creation itself groans awaiting the “glory that is to be revealed to us,” life forever in Jesus Christ!
Our Lord Jesus experienced deep groaning and sorrow as he suffered for us so that there might be a happy ending to our story. An ending of eternal joy with him forever and an end to the waiting and pain we have in this world.
Lord Jesus, thank you for suffering for me that I might have glory with you forever. Grant me peace as I await your coming, Lord! Amen!
