“Worthy are you, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.”
Revelation 4:11 English Standard Version

We all love to create things!  We love creating new recipes, new art work, new compositions.  Here my granddaughter is helping create a yummy desert!

God loves to create things also.  He created the heavens and the earth and all that is in them.   And God loves His creation.  He cares for the tiniest sparrow and lily of the field and He cares for the great whales and the mightiest redwoods. And He created people, people of all kinds and sizes and shapes and colors.

And God loved people so much that when we fell into sin and eternal death, He sent His own Son to ransom us from the wrath that was our due.  God was not a disinterested Creator who sits afar off observing His creatures, but a loving, merciful God who sacrificed His own Son for us.

For that reason the Lord is worthy of all glory and honor and power!  Not only did He create us but He saved us and redeemed us through the blood of His Son.  This was God’s good and gracious will, to not leave us as condemned creatures, but to rescue us through Jesus Christ our Lord.

And all of creation, all of heaven and earth and all people owe Him praise and thankfulness forever and ever.  In the great gathering and resurrection of all people, there in the new heavens and the new earth, we will rejoice forever and ever before Him. The Lord is worthy of all praise for creating you!  The Lord is worthy of all honor for redeeming you!  He is worthy of all glory and honor and power!
