We know Jesus is coming back sometime, some day. But when?

“Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of him.”
Revelation 1:7

In the beginning of the world, God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit existed. They created the Earth as we know it. They walked with Adam and Eve in Eden.

At the end of the world as we know it, Jesus will reappear to complete the cycle put in place in the beginning.

“I heard behind me a great voice like the calling of a war trumpet, Saying, I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last.”
Revelation 1:10-11

The disciples thought Jesus would return while they were alive. There have been conversations, even media reports, on Him making an appearance soon.

“And after He had said these things, He was lifted up while they were looking on, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. And as they were gazing intently into the sky while He was going, behold, two men in white clothing stood beside them. They also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in just the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven.”
Acts 1:9-11

We know from this verse that Jesus will come back to Earth.

“For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, “There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. But you are not in darkness, brothers, for that day to surprise you like a thief. For you are all children of light, children of the day. We are not of the night or of the darkness. So then let us not sleep, as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, are drunk at night. But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation. For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we might live with him. Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.
Thessalonians 5:2-11

We may not know the day and time Jesus is coming but we ought to live like it could be any moment, letting His light shine through us to draw others to Him.
