His Amazing Light

God has filled your heart with His light, now share it with those lost in darkness.

For God, who said, “Let there be light in the darkness,” has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ.”
2 Corinthians 4:6-7 New Living Translation

As intense light from above shines on these glass bowls, the dazzling light reveals their exquisite form and color. But when the museum closes and the lights are turned off, they sit in darkness without the perfect amount of focused light to enhance their features.

When God’s light shines in our hearts we experience His glory. He uncovers our darkness and drenches us in His light, even on our most discouraging, gloomiest days. And though we are as fragile as glass, we are illuminated by His presence that shines directly into our souls.

The wonderful effect of this is evident when we allow our God-given brightness to spill over into the sunless world. The world desperately needs a light that survives the dismal days of evil and cannot be turned off, hidden or corrupted. The glory of the Lord shines on you and He desires you, through the light and hope that He placed in your heart, to share His love with others drowning in the darkness.

Treasure God’s light in your heart. Let it shine for all people to see. Then one day we will all live in the everlasting light of our Lord and Savior and all darkness will be gone, forever.

For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light!
Ephesians 5:8 New Living Translation
