“Nothing impure will ever enter it… but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.”
Revelation 21:27 New International Version
Is your name written in the Lamb’s book of life? This is a very serious question, for God says that only those who names are written in the Lamb’s book of life will enter into eternal life with Him forever.
So perhaps this leads to even more questions; “How do I get my name written into that book of life? Do I need to do a lot of really good things for God and for other people? Do I get into the book of life by knowing a lot of Bible verses? Do I get in by giving a lot of money to the church?” The list could go on and on, with many people having tried all these ways and many more to make themselves holy enough to get their names into the book of life.
But none of those ways are how you get your name into the Lamb’s book of life. For the writer of Revelation, the Apostle John, writes in his Gospel, “To all who received Him [that is the Lord Jesus Christ], to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become the children of God.” You don’t get your name into the book of life by trusting in your good works. You get your name into the book of life by trusting in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ!
He is the Lamb of God, who died upon the cross to take away the sins of the world. And all who believe in Him have their sins forgiven and their names written into His book of life.
Do not trust in your own credentials and good works! But instead, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved. And you will live with Him forever and ever. Hallelujah!
