Our Opinion is Secondary

Our opinion does not matter if it doesn’t line up with God’s. No matter our passion, anger, or political stance, if God’s heart differs on the subject then it’s just dust. His opinion is rooted in love, compassion and deep emotion for people and the world He created.
So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise. John 5:19 English Standard Version
As Christians, we only do, say and act like the Father. As we grow closer to him, our opinions will continue to fall away and in its place is His heart, thoughts and actions. We are all a work in progress (especially me) and will continue to be molded in His image as our relationship grows with Him.
“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.” Genesis 1:27 English Standard Version
Hard subjects and evil in the world will always exist until Jesus returns. Understanding and listening are critical when moving toward a better world system but true justice, where we see all wrongs righted, will not happen until heaven. That said, one of our initiatives is to invite heaven to earth.
“Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” Matthew 6:10 English Standard Version
Heaven is the justice center. All issues will be resolved in heaven.
So how do we bring heaven to earth? We pray the Lord’s prayer, we grow our faith and relationship with God, we praise Him, sing and dance to glorify all that He has done for us.
If we want the world to be different, ask God to bring heaven to earth. In His presence, He will either fight the battle or show us how.

Well said! As we grow closer to Him, we will be able to be that light in this dark place.
Thanks Steffanie! And hopefully when we are in our own dark places recognize it may just be the secret place with God and that we can hide in His shadow.
