Living in Peace, Not in Pieces

I heard recently that the number one thing people want the most in their lives is peace. It makes sense in these times of uncertainty. What are you doing to make sure you are looking for peace in the life you currently have? What helps settle your soul? God is the one who can give you a healthy perspective on what is happening in your life right now. He is the one that can provide you with a peace that you can’t find anywhere else in this world. His Word is filled with verses that guarantee peace for you every moment of every day.

Today and in the weeks to come, reflect on these verses. Maybe even memorize some of them. Then when you need it most, the Holy Spirit will whisper these words of peace into your heart and soul.

“I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33 New Living Translation

“But all who listen to me will live in peace, untroubled by fear of harm.”
Proverbs 1:33 New Living Translation

“You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!”
Isaiah 26:3 New Living Translation

“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.”
 John 14:27 New Living Translation

“Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”
 Philippians 4:7 New Living Translation

“Now may the Lord of peace himself give you his peace at all times and in every situation. The Lord be with you all.”
2 Thessalonians 3:16 New Living Translation
