“For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth, and the former things shall not be remembered or come into mind.”
Isaiah 65:17 English Standard Version
Swedish meatballs have been one of my favorite foods since I was a child. On a recent outing, my husband and I stopped at IKEA and had lunch and of course I had to get the meatballs. They were delicious! Every time I’m there I think it’s so funny that there’s a store that has popularized one of my favorite foods.
Do you know what Swedish meatballs are better though? My mom’s. The ones that made me love them in the first place, that my siblings and I request for special meals.
When I read descriptions of Heaven, I think it’s a little like this. “Earth is good, yeah, but have you tried Heaven?” It’s so wonderful that we have blessings given to us here in our earthly home, but have even more amazing things to look forward to.
“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
