“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” Romans 8:37 English Standard Version

We are conquerors and we are more than conquerors. Kings and Queens are also warriors. For example, David was a warrior before he was a king. Great warriors know when to battle and know how to rest. They know when to be at peace when the battle is over or when the battle has reached a lull.

We are supposed to conquer, but we are also more than that. We are daughters and sons of the most high King.

Jesus was one of the greatest warriors. He used God’s word to slice through the hardest of hearts and the largest of egos.

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12 English Standard Version

What is our role in the battle? First we have to know when there is a battle. Letting God point out where we battle is the first step. If we’re fighting the wrong battle it’s not effective.

Once we recognize the battle, we’re ready. How do we fight? From a place of peace, and we war not with worldly weapons. We use God’s word which cuts more deeply than any sword and blasts wider than any bomb or grenade; it is the strongest weapon in the universe. The atmosphere changes, walls come down and go up; everything changes when prayer is utilized.

When groups gather together, prayer is even more effective.

“For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” Matthew 18:20 English Standard Version

This season is a season of war and rest, all from a place of peace. Get into God’s word to see how and when He wants you to war in His name.
