“What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him.”
1 Corinthians 2:9 New Living Translation
Have you ever encountered this sign and wondered where to go next? The plans you had, the job you’ve worked at for a long time, various relationships; sometimes any of these can reach a dead end. Maybe frustration or despair has even barricaded your hope.
If so, then this good news is for you. There are no dead ends in Christ! Only the beginning of something new that has been laid out for us. What we see as a barrier is the first step to a new adventure. God will never leave us at the end of a road with no destination or plan. Even when we can’t see the path ahead or a glimpse of what is to come, our future is always guided by Jesus who is never lost, delayed or directionless.
Jesus Christ is always with us, leading us to discover more about His character, His love, and the works He crafted for us to accomplish in His kingdom. When we lean into Him with trust and give up fearing dead end signs, our hearts will have peace, and His plan will become clearer to us.
Even death is not a permanent dead end, but the beginning of an everlasting presence with Christ in eternity. When your hope is in Christ, those dead end signs point to the ultimate new beginning that Christ established for you.
“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”
Ephesians 2:10 New Living Translation
