“O Lord, you have examined my heart
and know everything about me.
You know when I sit down or stand up.
You know my thoughts even when I’m far away.
You see me when I travel
and when I rest at home.
You know everything I do.
You know what I am going to say
even before I say it, Lord.
You go before me and follow me.
You place your hand of blessing on my head.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
too great for me to understand!”
Psalm 139: 1-6 New Living Translation
Did you see my niece among the trees in this photo? She blends into her surroundings well. We might feel easily overlooked or believe we are insignificant in this world. In a deep valley surrounded by massive mountains, or a city crowded with people, or gazing out over a vast ocean, we can feel small and inadequate. We might even feel forgotten in our sorrow or pain. But we have a Savior who loves us so much that He will never lose track of where we are, who we are, or what is on our mind and hearts. He knows us so well and loves us even more.
Most days may seem ordinary. Some days you may feel lost and broken. But to God you are always His most valuable treasure, His blessed child. God sees my niece and loves her every moment, and He sees you and lives in you, too. Hold on to that truth!
