Though we may feel invisible and discontent, our Lord sees us and loves us.

“Show me your ways, Lord,
teach me your paths.
Guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my Savior,
and my hope is in you all day long.”
Psalm 25:4-5 New Living Translation
It’s not easy being a green turtle covered in algae. He blends in with his surroundings and is almost invisible. Slowly crawling in a straight path at a steady pace, he is unwavering and determined.
Have you ever trudged through each day feeling invisible to the world, maybe even unseen by God? You thought you were on the right path, but an unforeseen development is creating doubt in your mind. Perhaps you are tired of the race and are looking for something more. It’s easy to get caught up in the desire to chase after the wants of the world, but it leads to restlessness. Discouragement, weariness and a weakening faith threaten to overtake you.
Maybe other Christians seem to have a singular focus, an indomitable spirit, a purposeful pursuit of God’s plan for their life. And that comparison to your life leads you to feel defeated and discontent.
Satan is capable of making us feel like failures, convincing us that God doesn’t love us and we aren’t good enough for anything as noble as a God-given plan. But it’s all a lie.
“The Lord will work out his plans for my life—
for your faithful love, O Lord, endures forever.
Don’t abandon me, for you made me.”
Psalm 138: 8 New Living Translation
No matter how unworthy or disheartened you feel, or how purposeless your life seems, take heart that God loves you every moment of your life. Nothing will ever change that. It’s the one true hope you can depend on. There is no reason to crave the things of the world or wish for someone else’s life because God has designed an intentional plan just for you. He will never abandon you. Ask God to renew your desire for His path for you and then stay the course. No one else on this earth can fulfill the destiny God created for you. You are not invisible. You are dearly loved.
