Look Closely To See The Real Truth.

If you look at this scene, in San Salvador, it might make you feel a little nervous to see a man, up high on a pole, with little safety equipment to keep him from falling. However, if you look closer you will see that the man isn’t a man at all, but a fake doll of sorts placed atop the pole in the middle of a city. It’s a bizarre sight with no explanation, and open to interpretation as to why anyone would do this.
“For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost.”
Luke 19:10 New Living Translation
People were confused about Jesus as well. They thought he was coming as an earthly King to rule over Israel, and deliver her from the hands of her oppressors (the Romans), but He kept talking to them about a different kingdom, a heavenly one, and it confused some and angered others. Their interpretation of what they saw in Scriptures, over the centuries, was clouding the real truth…that Jesus came to save all people from their sin, so that all would have life with Him in His heavenly kingdom.
“This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ. Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth. Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more like Christ, who is the head of the body, the church.”
Ephesians 4:13-15 New Living Translation
In the world today many see Jesus as they want to see Him, not as He actually is. Some see Him as a good man, a great teacher, or someone who existed but was misguided and died because of it. We are blessed with God-given faith to see the truth in God’s Word, and to see the whole story…Jesus is our Lord and Savior! No matter what view the world presents us with, we can be assured that Christ is real and loves us deeply!
