No Matter Where You Are, He is There.

One thing stands out in this photograph, dynamic landscapes. In the foreground nothing is growing. Uniformly colored rocks cover the ground only broken up by patches of snow. There is not much living on the barren ground at this high altitude. Further in the distance is a lush forest full of life. Shade and sun, dark green trees and lighter green rolling hills, valleys, and refreshing water are available there. We can see that it is a place full of life. Above that is a blue sky with puffy clouds providing shade to the ground below and which will eventually supply water as well. These three distinct settings all share the fact that God created them and He dwells within them.
“Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?”
Romans 8:35 New American Standard Bible
“But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 8:37-39 New American Standard Bible
Whether you are experiencing lush green fields of growth and harvest, a long hard climb through dangerous rocky terrain, wide open skies providing for the needs of others, a desert place where you search for signs of life, or a place that seems to change between all of these with every passing hour know this: God is there with you. His love abides in you and goes wherever you are. There is nothing and no one that can take that away.
Sometimes we long to seek out other places. We feel separated from the other things of life. We wonder if we’ll ever get to experience what we know others have. Remember also the unseen. There are perils in the forest, cold winds in the sky, and living things to discover under those rocks. Embrace the place God has chosen for you and rejoice knowing you will never be separated from Him.
