Peace in Chaos

Moving toward peace has become my goal in this current season. Deciding what to do next is what comes out of the peace that God gives. This is backward from what I have experienced in the past. I was so concerned with what I should do next SO I would have peace.
God and I have partnered to create an oasis inside of me to hold the peace only He can offer.
“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33 English Standard Version“Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all.”
2 Thessalonians 3:16 English Standard Version
It’s easy to talk about having peace in all circumstances; it’s another to live it out. It takes practice to surrender and trust that God really has the best intentions for us. Even now, I experience peace in some aspects of my life but other areas are a struggle. Knowing this information allows me to continue practicing laying the issue at the foot of the cross and letting the peace wash over me that only Jesus can offer.
Connecting with God everyday in the mundane activities such as computer work, washing dishes, and driving, is a great way to practice the peace that God is always offering. When we practice peace in the mundane, it sets a stage to begin to insert peace into the more intense areas of our lives.
Don’t give up! Life is about learning and growing. As we grow toward God, His grace and mercy will carry us even more toward Him. And remember, God never leaves us.
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Isaiah 41:10 English Standard Version
