And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
Romans 8:28 New Living Translation

Most of us have faced a giant or two in our lifetime. In the moment what we faced may have seemed overwhelming or impossible to survive, but we made it through with God’s help, because He easily defeats our giants.

While we shouldn’t get caught up spending too much time pondering the past, looking back gives us a better perspective of how Christ has woven everything that has happened, good or bad, into who we are and where we are in this life right now. We often see that our faith has matured, and we are continually changed into His new creation. We can envision the times when Christ orchestrated events in our lives that led us to His blessing beyond measure.

Sometimes God gives us insight into how we fit into the even larger picture of His perfect plan for the future of His kingdom. At other times we have no awareness into how God is using our gifts for His purposes, but in faith we follow His lead wherever it takes us and trust Him for our future.

We may feel in awe of all the ways He has blessed us. We may never understand why we had to endure the struggles. Even if we regret anything in our past, God wastes nothing and uses everything to accomplish His intentions. And for those difficult times where nothing made sense, and for the encouraging and joyful times where everything seemed right, He was there. We may still face giants ahead, but with Christ as our Savior, they don’t stand a chance.
