“I waited patiently for God to help me; then he listened and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out from the bog and the mire, and set my feet on a hard, firm path, and steadied me as I walked along. He has given me a new song to sing, of praises to our God. Now many will hear of the glorious things he did for me, and stand in awe before the Lord, and put their trust in him.”
Psalm 40:1-3 New Living Translation
Spiritual battles can ruin the peace in our hearts and minds. When Satan attacks, he tries to derail our faith and destroy our hope in our Savior. We feel defeated and disappointed when we can’t overcome the battle.
We despair in spiritual warfare because we only see what we lack and not what we have—a formidable Savior who protects us. He is our fortress where we can take cover to be safe from all harm. He is our hero who will fight Satan for us. He always wins! He is our champion. We can live free from fear in His kingdom.
And Christ your redeemer will come back for you, to take you home to His eternal Kingdom on earth’s final day, proving he has defeated the enemy for all eternity.
Trust in Christ to fight your battles. You will never be defeated with the most powerful hero at your side.
“They cried out to God during the battle, and he answered their prayer because they trusted in him.”
