Praising God is a big part of how we connect with Him and how we move forward when distressed.
“Know that the Lord, he is God!
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him; bless his name!”
Psalm 100:3-4 English Standard Version
“I give water in the wilderness, rivers in the desert, to give drink to my chosen people, the people whom I formed for myself that they might declare my praise.”
Isaiah 43:21 English Standard Version
There’s a song by Bethel Music called “Praise is the the Highway.” The main chorus is, “Praise is the highway to the throne of God.” Praise is a direct line to God. It’s a way to connect our hearts with His.
Praise can change our attitude and/or our outlook in an instant. We enter his courts through praise and his gates with thanksgiving. (Psalm 100:4).
There are a number of ways to praise God. Music, sermons, solitude, dancing. There is not one way to praise Him. Praying, declaring His goodness, evangelizing. Praise is numerous. We don’t have to force it but we may need to carve time out of the day to be intentional for praise.
Praise begets praise. The more we praise, the more we will continue to praise.
