Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.
Matthew 7:7 New Living Translation

King David was a man who prayed boldly and with confidence to God. He prayed to be rescued from Saul who plotted to kill him. He prayed that God would spare Israel when they turned away from the Lord, and He relented and removed the plague. He cried out to the Lord when his enemies threatened him. David also gave thanks to God for establishing him as Israel’s king. As David approached God with a humble heart and thankful praises, God answered David’s prayers because he was aligned with God’s heart.

God only wants what’s best for you, and He clearly knows what that is since He created you in His image. Prayer draws us closer to Him, and our hearts are changed as we learn to know Him more fully. When we know God so well, the Holy Spirit prompts how we should pray and what we should pray for. We can come boldly and with confidence before God’s throne and ask him for what we desire, because we are not asking with our own selfishness or greed.

Our Lord listens to your cries for help, your pleas for others’ needs and your praises to Him. Boldly approach Him with your prayers with confidence, knowing that He will listen and respond to your heartfelt words. And remember to praise Him for His goodness.
