I debated whether to link this article to the notes or not, but I felt the tug to do so anyway. I think it gives balance to why we go on short-term mission trips. At Holy Cross our focus is on supporting the team of people working in both Honduras and Peru. We don’t want to be a burden to these ministries but an asset. 1. Pastor Doug,
Your blog is incredible!! I asked Brandon if he had listened to this yet. He and Gavin replied that they were there listening to you record some of this information. I told them I could hear their laughs in the background as you were recording this on the riverboat heading back to Pucalpa. What a huge blessing that Brandon was able to go on this amazing mission trip with you and the rest of our Holy Cross family.
I will be eagerly waiting for your July 15 episode with Pastor Jeffrey and Pastor Hudalgo. Of course I will be sharing this with family and friends in Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia!
    Thank you for this ministry!

  2. Thank you for your comments, Robin, and for sharing the podcast with your family and friends. I’m very grateful. It was wonderful being with Brandon (not a bad soccer player), Gavin and all the participants. I forgot that you had relatives in B.C. Janice and I spent a week on Vancouver Island, around Comox and Courtenay. We loved it. There are so many beautiful places to visit in B.C. My father was commissioned to paint a picture of Big Horn Sheep way up in northern B.C. He was flown up there by helicopter. That painting is the center piece of my mother’s living room today.
