Relief Is on the Way!

I grew up in Houston, Texas and let me tell you: It rains a lot! I actually really liked that, I would just sit and stare out the window as the thunderstorm raged and the rain came pouring down.

Our image for consideration is an image of Gene Kelly from the famous movie Singing in the Rain. If you’ve ever watched the movie, you know it is a tale of Hollywood where there are double crosses and double – double crosses. But some pretty unforgettable dancing and singing!

Consider a verse from scripture, Hosea 6:3

“Let us know; let us press on to know the Lord; his going out is sure as the dawn;
he will come to us as the showers, as the spring rains that water the earth”.

Sometimes you may not care much for rain, but you have to admit that it brings refreshment and revitalization. In the season of Lent, things can seem pretty dry and parched. But the prophet Hosea reminds us relief is on the way!
