The Lord Hears Our Cry!

“In my distress I cried unto the Lord, and He heard me.”
Psalm 120:1 King James Version
At our church we have a cry room. Perhaps you have one in your church also, a place for moms or dads to take their little child when the child is crying and needs to be consoled. This is a very useful room in our church that has many babies!
Sometimes I need a cry room, too. A place to go and cry out to the Lord in my distress, a place to call upon Him for help and a place to weep when the sin and pain of this world hurt too much. A place where my loving Father will hear me and understand me and listen to my cry.
Perhaps right now in your life there are burdens too heavy for you to carry, sorrows too deep for words. Perhaps your grief pierces your soul and hangs upon you like a dark cloud. Please go to His cry room, to the place where you can cry out to Jesus. He is the man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. He will listen and understand and comfort you.
Jesus knew pain and sorrow and wept at the sight of sin and death. He came to take away the sting of death and give hope in the midst of weeping. In His death and resurrection we experience His mercy and His forgiveness. In His cross we see and experience the love of God, the Sacrifice of God for you and me.
This is the cry room where the Father holds me and comforts me. This is the place of peace in the midst of pain and joy in the midst of sadness. This is the place in our Father’s arms where He holds us close and promises to never let go. This is where we experience the heart of God. Amen.
