Where You lead I will follow.

I watched these two beautiful horses for quite some time. It was amazing to me, for though they had 6,000 acres on which to roam apart from each other, they always stayed close. The ebony horse was clearly the leader, and the light gray horse seemed very happy and content to follow him. Once, as the ebony horse took off running across the prairie, the light gray horse obediently followed, even if it couldn’t fully keep pace. However, the lead horse never let the slower horse lag too far behind. It was obvious they had a solid bond.
“Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.”
James 4:8 New Living Translation
As followers of Christ, we know that the closer we follow His lead and His commands, the more content and truly joyful we become. However, this was not always possible. Once we were sinners separated from God, lost to death and destruction.
“But now you have been united with Christ Jesus. Once you were far away from God, but now you have been brought near to him through the blood of Christ.”
Ephesians 2:13 New Living Translation
We delight in a solid bond with God because of His sacrifice for us. Since He loved us enough to make that relationship a reality we now experience what He intended for us as His creation, true fellowship with Him and a joyful life. He provides us with His Spirit, imparting wisdom and direction for the roads we travel. God will never stop loving us, never let us face the storms alone, or leave us behind in our journey. His only desire is to love us, bless us, and be near to us each moment of our life.
“Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives.”
Galatians 5:25 New Living Translation
So I encourage you to follow His leading in all things. Read His Word meant for you, talk to Him in prayer, and lead your life based on Christ’s example. You will find a deeper relationship with Him than you will ever imagine possible, an unbreakable bond for all eternity.
