Having access to your Heavenly Father means that you can always call upon His name, and He will be there.

“He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.”
Ephesians 2:17-18 New International Version

We walk through multiple doors every day. It’s not something we take time to think about, it’s just a natural way to get to places that we want to go. Some doors we enter may be full of joy and promise. Doors to operating rooms, funeral homes or enemy territory may scare or sadden us. Even though they lead to something unpleasant, the door to the presence of Christ reveals light and safety.

We can approach our Father’s throne, because at the moment of Jesus’ death, the veil of separation was literally ripped apart and our destiny was sealed. In the instant that our Lord gave up His life, we were given total, unrestricted access to a personal relationship with our Heavenly Father.

“And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place.”
Hebrews 10:19-20 New Living Translation

Christ has provided us with direct access to the father, to receive all the mercy and grace we need, no matter what our circumstance. His door is never locked or blocked. We don’t need to climb mountains or even be in a church, for we can approach Him anywhere and at any time. He longs for you to come to Him, no matter how you feel.

Come boldly to the throne and enjoy the wonder and awe of being in God’s presence.
