“From the depths of despair, O Lord,
I call for your help.
Hear my cry, O Lord.
Pay attention to my prayer.
Lord, if you kept a record of our sins,
who, O Lord, could ever survive?
But you offer forgiveness,
that we might learn to fear you.
I am counting on the Lord;
yes, I am counting on him.
I have put my hope in his word.
I long for the Lord
more than sentries long for the dawn,
yes, more than sentries long for the dawn.”
Psalm 130: 1-6 New Living Translation
I believe hope in Jesus looks something like this sunset. At times circumstances appear bleak and everything surrounding you seems to be getting darker and darker. But Jesus decimates that darkness with His powerful hope, to reveal light that shows how beautifully colorful His plans are for your life. Even when times are hard and the morning sun seems so far away, know that you have a Savior who loves you and is there by your side always and forever.
“I will thank you, Lord, among all the people.
I will sing your praises among the nations.
For your unfailing love is as high as the heavens.
Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.
Be exalted, O God, above the highest heavens.
May your glory shine over all the earth.”
Psalm 57:9-11 New Living Translation
