The Day Is Coming!

Most of the birdhouses that I walk by are empty. Granted I captured this picture in winter, but you get the point. They wait in anticipation for the day when a pair of birds will decide to make one of them their home and raise a family.

As we wait for the resurrection, the day of Jesus’ return, there is a place that is waiting for us, a room if you want to call it that. More specifically it is a dwelling place. The focus of Jesus’ words is not on things, but on a relationship.

Jesus is preparing a place for us to dwell with him for all eternity. It is why he came. It is why he died. It is why he rose again. He is preparing a dwelling place for you in his presence. He is preparing a dwelling place for his people.

The day is coming when the hole will be filled.
