Your Fears have been Conquered.

“nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 8:39 English Standard Version
If one of your greatest fears is a fear of heights, you and I have that in common. There’s something about driving, or walking, on bridges over water. Driving up a mountain with no guardrail just makes my heart race, my hands clam, up and I become reluctant to make any movements. Ever since I have been married to Latashia I’ve found myself in high places above rushing waters, or zip-lining over rocky terrain, much more than ever before I was married. Once I am there in the middle of zip-lining, or as you see here standing on the Royal Gorge Bridge, I find myself having a great time. More often than not, you get some pretty spectacular views.
Romans 8:39 tells us that God loves us so much in Christ Jesus, that as believers not even our greatest fears can come between us and the love that God has for us. When our trust is in God, and not in our human capacities, all of our fears are conquered.
“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.”
Romans 8:37 English Standard Version
The worst that can happen to us here on earth is losing our lives, but in our earthly death we then enter the perfect and eternal Kingdom of Christ in heaven! In his death and resurrection on the cross, Jesus both tasted death for us that we may live, while also conquering death that it may have no power over us.
Therefore, to all my brothers and sisters in Christ, when you come face to face with one of your greatest fears I want you to think of the two verses above and the one below, that the peace of God may dwell in your heart and give you peace.
“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”
Romans 8:31 English Standard Version
