When we know who Jesus is, we can see Him at work in everything.

Do you see any human faces or inanimate objects in these clouds? If so, you’ve experienced pareidolia, where our brains try to make sense of what we are seeing and assign something we are familiar with. We might see a shape of an animal or the face of Jesus in the clouds. Scientists think this psychological phenomenon may enhance focus, mood, creativity, imagination, and agility in problem-solving because we’re seeing things in a different way.
“I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With Him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.”
Psalm 16:8 New International Version
In our relationship with Christ, our soul sees Him in everything. We can look at any situation and know that Christ is in it no matter what, even if it’s a battle or a blessing. We can see Jesus in other people as they demonstrate their love for Him. We can certainly see Jesus in our answered prayers but also working in ways where the outcome is unknown.
At times we look around expecting to see what we want to see—something we are hoping for and familiar with and not the new direction God may be leading us. We must keep our eyes on Jesus, seeking His next steps for our lives. Even though our sight is clouded with sin and selfishness, God will eventually reveal everything to us so we can truly perceive His vision of the plans He established for us before we were even born. His eyes are always on us. He sees us, loves us and is always with us. Look for His face in all things!
