What Family Teaches Us

“…to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God…”
John 1:12 English Standard Version

What do we learn from being in a family?  We learn that relationships are very important for survival.  Children need nurture and care from their parents for many years so that they might become healthy and caring adults.  Not only do they have basic physical needs like food and clothing and shelter, but they need love and patient training and steady commitment from their parents.

God invites us into his forever family through Jesus Christ our Lord.  To all who would accept him as Father there is love and forgiveness and peace and mercy for them.  For all who would accept his wise training they will grow to become discerning adults who can lead others to him.  For all who would accept him as Father there is a place in the Father’s house forever and ever!

Because of sin we were outside of the Father’s house.  But in Jesus’ sacrificial death on the cross our sins are washed away and to all who would receive him, who believe in his name, we are made children of God.  We are welcomed into the Father’s family and part of our work as his children is to invite others to be adopted into the Father’s house.

We rejoice that we have been made part of God’s family and we eagerly invite others to become our brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus!  There is always room in the Father’s house!

“Father welcomes all his children To His family through His Son.  Father giving His salvation, Life forever has been won.”
