“He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.”
Ephesians 4:16 New International Version

What makes your favorite beverage special? The sweet taste of your favorite fruit? The caffeine that helps you wake up? That it leaves you feeling refreshed or healthy?

What’s your drink made of?

My favorite drink is blended with leaves from 35 different countries, carefully selected to produce a rich amber color and distinctive flavor. It’s brewed with perfectly filtered water to produce a pleasing color and consistent taste.

God created each one of us with our own unique qualities to be part of His community, His church. We may feel we need to be more like someone we admire, or feel we need to diminish our flaws first to be truly fruitful. But God created you with distinct gifts and talents, to be blended with those of other believers, for the ultimate purpose of encouraging each other and drawing humanity to Him.

Feeling unqualified to accomplish His work?

Alone, we are all inadequate to fulfill what God made us to do. But He will empower you with courage, wisdom and energy to work alongside believers who have strengths you don’t possess, because that is not your purpose.

Not fully convinced? Jesus chose 12 very different people with precise abilities and copious flaws as His disciples. Through their God-given gifts and His blessing, they changed the world. If Christ calls you to be more involved in His community, answer that call with a resounding “YES” because you have been specially chosen to serve within His uniquely gifted family. You are needed to work alongside His children to point to the best hope for all people on earth—a relationship with Christ!
