Tiny homes are becoming popular in Colorado, as people seek a simpler lifestyle and the ability to explore the country in a more cost-effective way. But I’m not sure who could live in this tiny “house tree.” It looks inviting, but it’s just too small for anyone to inhabit.
“I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.”
Ephesians 3: 16-17 New International Version
Christ wants to make His home in your heart. Not just to stay there on occasion, but to put down roots so deep that your home with Him will have a firm foundation and never fall in any storm. But while His love is limitless, do we offer him our whole heart or just a tiny living space for Him to dwell?
Maybe you really want Christ to move in but are worried about the secret closet of hidden sin that lurks in a corner of your heart. Don’t be afraid! You can trust Him to clean up those dark spaces with the light of His love and forgiveness. That’s why He died and rose again for you, to conquer the stranglehold of sin that keeps your heart and mind from peace and wholeness. Christ can do infinitely more than you can ever imagine.
“And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.”
Ephesians 3:18-19 New International Version
Invite Christ to live with you in every space of your heart. Experience His immeasurable love for you. His desire for you is an abundant life, inner strength and an eternal home with Him.
