God longs for you to love Him more than anything your heart may desire.

“Whom have I in heaven but you?
I desire you more than anything on earth.
My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak,
but God remains the strength of my heart;
he is mine forever.”
Psalm 73:25-27 New Living Translation
That word, Valentine, conjures up a myriad of responses: too commercial, romance, too much drama, expectations, sadness, sweetheart, disappointment, candy, flowers, love. No matter how you feel about it, February 14th is Valentine’s Day.
God created the original Valentine’s Day. He loved us so much that He sent His Son Jesus to save us from sin, and assure us a place in heaven, the best gift anyone could ever receive. Ever.
He doesn’t want cards, presents, fancy dinners, or flowers. He owns those already. All God wants is your love, and devotion. He is the best Valentine you will ever have. So, whether you are into this day, and all its’ celebration, or you’d rather Hallmark never commercialized it, you have the best Love ever. He will always love you, never let you down, always call you His own, and will never leave you.
Brighten someone’s day, and yours, by reminding them of this great love.
