Angels sheathed in heaven’s glory
Angels shining heaven’s story
Shepherds shiver in the night
Fear mixing with delight
Wonder at the sight

Sights and sounds
Dance all around
A Star appearing
Sheep are cheering
Fulfillment nearing

Virgin-sign
Wisdom’s design
Lowly Place
Now Holy Space
Gives pause to harried life’s race

Centuries unfold
Countless chronicles told and untold
People move across history’s stage
Fads, fancies and sundry sophisticates Rage
Penning human vacuity on every page

Until, with the clarity of dawn’s Chanticleer,
Boldly, still, Love appears–
The Star and the Child
Midst mortal furies wild,
Tumultuous spirits making mild

He who Came Comes Again
Divinity and humanity blend
In mystery shrouded, yet revealed,
Sin and death now repealed
In Infant cries, our cries are healed

Bridging Heaven and the Earth
In the Christ-Child’s sacred Birth
Birth-bloodied baby a prophecy
Of the Blood-stained Cross on Calvary
By whose means we gain immortality

Sing, Angels clothed in Light
Sing and dance to brighten our night
Incarnation
Jubilation
Celebration
