“How precious is your unfailing love, O God! All humanity finds shelter in the shadow of your wings.” Psalm 36:7 New Living Translation
We’ve all had hard days—moments where we would like to bury ourselves under a mound of soft, plush stuffed animals and hide from the harsh, chaotic world. Oh, you might conceal yourself from all the troubles you are facing for a time, but eventually you will need to confront whatever is worrying you.
When those days descend on you, where do you turn? Maybe you call a friend. Or have some chocolate. Perhaps you seek out encouraging sayings on the internet.
While these may help for a moment, the only true way to restore peace is through Christ. You have a Lord who loves you with His whole heart. He wants you to be calm and rest in Him. Christ has given you His word. There you will find His healing wisdom which will renew your soul and strengthen your mind.
“Then Jesus said, ‘Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.’”
Matthew 11:28-29 New Living Translation
He is your shield and your safe place in every difficult day.
“So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.”
Hebrews 4:16 New Living Translation
