“We know that we have passed from death into life…”
1 John 3:14a

Crossing bridges is always a great adventure to me. Will the bridge hold me? What will be on the other side? Will it be better on the other bank?

The Apostle John tells us that if we have Jesus Christ as our Advocate, our Savior, our Lord, and if we have placed our faith in Him that we have passed from death into life. That is to say that from sin, and eternal damnation, we have crossed over upon the bridge of righteousness, pardons, and forgiveness of Jesus to joy, and eternal life, forever with Him.

Can you trust the Bridge of Jesus? Will He hold you up from the chasm below? Yes, you can absolutely trust Him, for He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life to the Father. For all who trust in Him, who are baptized into His death and resurrection, enter into the gracious Presence of God.

Many fear trusting in the Lord Jesus with their lives, and with their souls. However, there is no other Rock upon which we can stand, and no other firm place in this life to be grounded other than Him. To stay on the shore without Him is to miss what God created and redeemed us for…eternal joy with Him.

Do not hesitate! Do not tarry! Cross over upon Jesus, your Salvation. Do not trust in any other way. Once you have crossed over, invite all who would come with you to join Him in eternal fellowship forever.

This Bridge takes us from death to life, from sorrow to joy, and from hell to heaven. Let us follow our Lord Jesus, and persuade all to come with us to Joy on the other side!  Amen.
