Don’t Be A Fool!

Hold on to God’s truth!

“For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.

Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused. Claiming to be wise, they instead became utter fools. They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen.”
Romans 1:20-22, 25 New Living Translation

So much is happening in this world we live in and we have become a nation of fearful and anxious people. Those of us who are Christians can get caught up in believing that all is lost, which leads to unrestrained fear. On this April Fool’s Day, let’s ask God to remove any foolish thoughts and ideas from our minds and replace them with the guidance and wisdom of the Holy Spirit, which He has promised to give to all who ask for them.

Remember these truths:

  • We have an awesome all-powerful God! (Psalm 65:5)
  • God can do immeasurably more than all we can ask or even imagine He can do. (Ephesians 3:20-21)
  • Nothing can separate us from His love—NOTHING! (Romans 8:35-39)
  • God is faithful and keeps His promises. (Deuteronomy 32:4)

Hold on to the truths He reveals to us in His word. It would be foolish not to accept the love and strength found in these promises!
