What do you want? Your desires are important to God.
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.”
When we want something, how do we posture ourselves before Him?
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.”
What does He do for us?
“He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness
for his name’s sake.”
When does He help us?
“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,”
How does He help us?
“I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.”
How does He strengthen us?
“You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.”
What is the result of trusting God in all things?
“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
Psalm 23:1-6 English Standard Version
We aren’t strong on our own. When we are in the desert, how do we walk through it? If we’re thirsty, he will give us a drink; if we’re hungry, he’ll feed us. Jesus is the living water, but our role is to let him in.
If you’re going through tough times just rest. He has provided a way.
