Infinitely More Than a Soda Can

12 ounces may have changed the world, but God’s thoughts of us change everything!

Christian Yates, a mathematician, calculated that if every Sars-CoV-2 coronavirus were collected throughout the world, they would fit in a standard soda can. He created a complex math equation to calculate this. It’s inconceivable that one can’s contents could generate so much catastrophe, ruin and death.

“How precious are your thoughts about me, O God.
They cannot be numbered!
I can’t even count them;
they outnumber the grains of sand!
And when I wake up,
you are still with me!”
Psalm 139:17-18 New Living Translation

No formula will ever exist to show that God’s thoughts about us will ever fit in a 12-ounce soda can. They are too numerous to count. I can’t imagine that God would have more thoughts about me than all the grains of sand that exist in the world! That’s way more often than I have the ability to think of Him.

A God who thinks about us to this extent certainly cares about my life and yours. Nothing can stop His love for you.  He is always with you. There is no place you can go that God isn’t already present. He knows what you think before you say it. His presence fills our days and our nights. And His presence is greater than all the devastation even a can of coronavirus can bring.

“But I trust in your unfailing love.
I will rejoice because you have rescued me.
I will sing to the Lord
because he is good to me.”
Psalm 13: 5-6 New Living Translation
